Sanctuary - Sustainability - Biodiversity
While many farms focus on increasing profits at the expense of their animal inhabitants, Becca's Farm serves first as a sanctuary for rescued animals.
With no connection to the power grid, the farm relies primarily on solar energy. By utilizing compost techniques, naturally occurring building materials, and our animal friends' "mud cakes," we strive to create a waste-free ecosystem at one with the environment.
To prioritize agricultural diversity, we forgo modern monocropping practices and nurture more than 200 unique species of plants. Almost anything can be found thriving on the farm, from cherimoyas and ice-cream bananas to hibiscuses and hydrangeas.
